Make That Happen

So, what are the ingredients, which when combined in the right quantities, will ‘miraculously’ produce a successful team? And what, specifically, distinguishes a successful team from teams that are performing less well?

A problem that gets teams stuck in the first place is that participants in the decision-making process think that their offerings are based on their version of reality. This is a hopeless situation.

My approach to building a successful team is to become an expert co-conversationalist and facilitate discussions based on negotiation, collaboration and inspiring the team collectively towards desired outcomes. This includes recognising ‘team limitations’ and making resources accessible, rather than focusing on perceived individual difficulties and interpretations, which merely perpetuates conflict and protracts disputes.
